France Télévisions is the French public television broadcaster. This national Network currently operates five TV terrestrial channels (France 2, France 3, France 4, France 5 and France Ô) and the non stop news channel France Info, the overseas TV channel, Réseau Outre-Mer, several webs with multimedia services, film production companies and other related companies. Worldwide France Télévisions is the major shareholder of the informative channel, France 24, the Franco-German channel ARTE, specialized in culture, and also of TV5 Monde, the French speaking International TV Channel. In addition, France Télévisions was one of the co-founders of the Euronews channel.

Traditionally, France Télévisions has been one of the reference European users of the AEQ TH02 Digital Telephone hybrids and since its technical renovation and operational modernization in 2005 France Televisions, has an installation of AEQ SYSTEL-6000 talk-show system at their headquarters. This system allows France Télévisions working simultaneously with more than 20 VoIP or ISDN calls or communications providing simultaneous service for several production studios.

In 2016, and in order to comply with and adapt to a new technical and operational expansion of their central studios, AEQ’s technology for talk-show systems has again been the preferred choice by France Televisión's technical managers.

Technology for telecommunications infrastructures has made notable progress during the last few years, and on this occasion the talk-show system selected has been the AEQ SYSTEL IP based on SIP technology. Two complete platforms have been supplied as well as a limited number of gateways allowing the broadcaster to operate the system in combination with their SIP based PBX for VoIP calls and for calls originating form PSTN (analogue) and ISDN lines.

SYSTEL IP is a broadcast calls and talk-shows system, which reduces drastically communications costs, significantly improves the audio quality and increases the flexibility and the integration with already existing telephone systems. This talk-show system signifies a small monetary investment that is amortized very quickly. Company telephony systems are migrating very quickly to VoIP's technology using SIP based PBX systems, distributed or virtual, making it possible to access new alternative telecommunication service suppliers.

The analogue telephone systems has until recently been an isolated island with very high costs of operation and also somewhat blocked by technology. SYSTEL IP allows connecting broadcast telephony to the standard company PBX based on SIP, avoiding having to use conventional exclusive lines for broadcast. Further, and in more traditional corporate environment, SYSTEL IP allows interconnecting for example, different meeting rooms or other meeting facilities, as well as routing the audio between rooms and systems for simultaneous translation that can be placed either remotely or locally.

Following this new expansion of its talk-show systems with these units of SYSTEL IP, France Télévisions will be able to manage up to 24 simultaneous calls servicing up to 8 different production studios at the same time. This ambitious project has been led by France Télévisions’ department of engineering in coordination with AEQ's technical support for the configuration and also assisted by the local partner and installation company Eurocom.
