RTV ANDORRA SELECS AEQ’S INTERCOM TECHNOLOGY

NRD HAS INSTALLED A COMPLETE INTERCOM SYSTEM BASED ON CROSSNET INTERCOM MATRIX AT THE STATIONS MAIN STUDIOS

Radio and Television of Andorra (in Catalan and officially: Ràdio i Televisió d'Andorra), also known by the acronym RTVA, is the public broadcasting company of Andorra. It was founded in 2000 and runs a TV channel, two radio stations and a website. It has been a member of the European Broadcasting Union since 2003. RTVA offers a varied programming with multiple entertainment, information and sports programmes, always with the purpose to offer a public service.

RTVA's technical management decided to renew its intercom system and selected the technology from AEQQ and the Integrator NRD to accomplish the equipment install.

The selected intercom system, the CROSSNET matrix, was rendered with 72 ports of capacity, but can easily be expanded to up to 168 ports. CROSSNET already has functions of interconnection for analog, digital and AoIP multichannel Audui with Dante/AES67 protocol.  The user panels are all the rack-mounted model TP8116 with echo cancelling. The panels provide full bandwidth audio with negligible noise and distortion levels.

RTVA Technical Director, Joan Ruiz, declared "The system works perfectly and is ideally suited to our needs. The AEQ and NRD service has been excellent in all phases of the project".

The installation was completed with the delivery of BP3004 wired beltpacks and wireless beltpacks Xbp plus VP4000 app licences.

The entire installation and commissioning was led by NRD engineer Mr. Daniel Kulow in coordination with the AEQs sales manager Mr. Nacho Olivella.
