South Africa's Radio Moletsi chooses AEQ BRAVO mixer for new mobile studio

Integrator Buck Broadcast has been in charge of the installation of the console in the station's mobile studio

Radio Moletsi is the largest regional radio station in the Lompopo province of South Africa. It is a radio station with a strong local accent where its programming reflects the reality of its community, with a variety of information, entertainment, events and sports programmes. The Lompopo region is located in the north of the country bordering Botswana, Zimbabwe and Mozambique, with a population of over 5 million inhabitants and with the capital in Polokwane from where Radio Molotsi broadcasts on FM98.6 and also online from its website.

Due to the size of the Lompopo region, its population is very dispersed and the management of Radio Molotsi decided to build a mobile radio unit to bring the medium closer to the reality of the most remote communities. The main contractor for the project was Buck Broadcast Company.

The AEQ BRAVO audio console was chosen as the heart of the system because, in addition to its technical features, we were looking for a compact, complete, very easy to operate and especially robust equipment to withstand the harsh conditions of working in remote and difficult to access locations.

AEQ BRAVO is the ideal solution for small broadcasters or professional broadcast type applications, where media must be reduced and costs tight. BRAVO offers 12 analogue inputs (4 mic/line and 8 dual stereo lines), 2 integrated telephone hybrids, and 4 internal working buses for Program, Audition, CUE and interfacing with up to two external telephone lines, with a low-profile self-contained control surface and 12 working faders.
