Portable IP Audiocodec

Phoenix ALIO has been specifically designed for sports broadcasts, but has been optimised to be simple to use in a wide variety of scenarios, including musical events.

Its compact, pressure-, impact- and liquid-resistant design is optimised for outdoor use where handling cannot always be careful enough.

Control Phoenix — Phoenix ALIO

Control Phoenix

All front-panel controls are available in Control Phoenix, allowing remote configuration and operation of a fleet of audiocodecs from one or more PCs.

In Phoenix ALIO, the application also features the audio mixer window, allowing remote adjustment of the volume and tone of each sound source and selection of sources sent to each output.

Coding Modes

  • AEQ recommends the OPUS algorithm with Fs = 48 kHz, mono or stereo, with 4 mono and 3 stereo modes, bitrates from 12 to 192 kbps and bandwidth from 6 to 20 kHz.
  • For compatibility with fixed installations and corporate standards, ALIO can use G711 Law A, Law µ, G722, AEQ-LD, MPEG 1 & 2 – LII, linear PCM and others on request.
  • To simplify unit operation, AEQ offers the Smart RTP automatic call setup mode. Additionally, AEQ provides its own SIP server services at no extra cost to Phoenix ALIO users.
