Functional Description

Phoenix TALENT

Home internet connection via ADSL or fibre.

3G/4G/5G wireless data connection via a simple router/modem with SIM card.

As PLAN B, Bluetooth connection with your smartphone to reach the studio PC. Enables connection to the broadcast console with HD voice quality.

TALENT PILOT & CONTROL PHOENIX

No need to be an expert. Control and configure your unit from your Smartphone or computer.

All front-panel controls are available in two applications:

› TALENT PILOT: local smartphone application to control and configure the unit. Licence included with purchase.

› CONTROL PHOENIX: remote PC application to configure and operate a fleet of audiocodecs remotely. Features audio presence indicators, remote VU meters and an address book with copy functions.

  • Female XLR-3. Low-noise preamplifier. Switchable 12 V Phantom power. Impedance 2 kΩ. Level adjustable from front panel and software. Mute key.
  • Stereo grounded, 3.5 mm jack. Compatible with PCs, tablets, phones and other players. Level adjustable by software.
  • Bluetooth stereo A2DP input. Level adjustable by software.
  • Stereo grounded, 3.5 mm jack. Compatible with PCs, tablets, phones and other recorders. Level adjustable by software.

Coding Modes

  • AEQ recommends the OPUS algorithm with Fs = 48 kHz, mono or stereo, with 4 mono and 3 stereo modes, bitrates from 12 to 192 kbps and bandwidth from 6 to 20 kHz.
  • For compatibility with fixed installations and corporate standards, TALENT can use G711 Law A, Law µ, G722, AEQ-LD, MPEG 1 & 2 – LII, linear PCM and others on request.
  • AEQ offers Smart RTP mode for automatic call setup. At no extra cost, Phoenix TALENT users also have access to AEQ's own SIP server.
