AEQ equips Onda Madrid’s new studio with an ATRIUM digital audio console

28 October 2026

The installation features a 24-motorized-fader surface, audio-over-IP connectivity and three NETBOX 4MH interfaces for connecting the studio areas.

Onda Madrid, the radio station of Radio Televisión Madrid (RTVM), has opened a new studio equipped with AEQ technology. The project features an ATRIUM digital audio console, together with audio-over-IP interfaces and auxiliary equipment to support the station’s daily operations.

The installed ATRIUM console features 24 motorized faders, with 10.1-inch touchscreens on each fader module, as well as a control module with a 10.1-inch touchscreen and a loudness meter. Its configuration includes 64 Dante/AES67 audio inputs and outputs, along with ATRIUM Virtual software, which enables remote control of the console’s functions through a virtual control surface.

Microphones and headphones in the main studio and news studio are connected through three NETBOX 4MH interfaces. These devices transport audio signals over the Dante network, integrating connections from the different work areas into the production system.

AEQ’s supply also includes auxiliary equipment such as AEQ HB-02 headphone amplifiers, microphones, headphones, a digital clock and network switches, among other components.

The equipment installation and integration were carried out by Telemadrid’s technical team. AEQ was responsible for equipment configuration, commissioning and on-site training, helping the station’s staff become familiar with the new working environment.

ATRIUM is AEQ’s digital mixing console designed for professional radio and television production and broadcasting environments. Its modular architecture and integration capabilities with audio-over-IP systems allow its configuration to be adapted to the requirements of each installation.

With this project, AEQ further strengthens its collaboration with broadcast professionals by providing audio solutions tailored to the needs of modern production environments. The combination of ATRIUM, NETBOX 4MH interfaces and complementary equipment brings together the tools required for audio production within Onda Madrid’s new studio.
