The solution enabled continuous communication between SBT's headquarters in Brazil, teams deployed in the United States, the International Broadcast Center (IBC) in Dallas and transmission partner NSports, ensuring efficient coordination throughout the tournament's broadcast operations.
The infrastructure relied on AEQ's Virtual Matrix to interconnect all points involved in the production. At SBT's headquarters, Xpeak IF interfaces linked the broadcaster's existing DELEC intercom system to the AEQ communications network. In the United States, the same technology enabled integration with the RTS intercom system installed in the outside broadcast vehicle deployed at Philadelphia Stadium (Lincoln Financial Field).
From the IBC in Dallas, operators used Xpeak Virtual, AEQ's software-based communications solution, maintaining constant contact with the OB vehicle, SBT headquarters in Brazil and NSports teams. NSports Brazil was also integrated into the communications network through Xpeak terminals, allowing real-time coordination between all parties involved in the operation.
This architecture enabled geographically distributed teams to operate as a single communications network while seamlessly integrating different intercom technologies within the same broadcast workflow.
The flexibility of the Xpeak platform and the integration capabilities of AEQ's Virtual Matrix made it possible to build a communications ecosystem tailored to the demands of one of the world's largest sporting events.
With this project, LineUp and AEQ reinforce their commitment to professional communications solutions for large-scale broadcast productions, providing tools capable of connecting teams, facilities and technologies located anywhere in the world.
