The Slovenian radio station Radio Capris, one of the country’s most popular commercial radio stations, has inaugurated its new studios in downtown Koper after relocating from the outskirts of the city. Coinciding with this renovation, the station has expanded its coverage by launching DAB+ broadcasts, while also maintaining its historic 91.7 FM frequency.
As part of this modernization project, Radio Capris has chosen the AEQ CAPITOL IP12 digital console as the centerpiece of its main studio. The installation was coordinated by the station’s technical team in collaboration with MTD, AEQ’s local partner in Slovenia, integrating a solution designed to deliver maximum reliability and audio quality in daily production.
AEQ CAPITOL IP provides a robust and intuitive work environment, combining the advantages of digital technology with integrated IP connectivity. Its architecture allows for the management of multiple analog, digital, and AoIP audio sources from a single control surface, facilitating agile operation in both live broadcasts and content production, while also offering the flexibility needed to adapt to future studio expansions.

Founded in 1993, Radio Capris has established itself as one of Slovenia’s leading radio stations thanks to programming that combines local news, entertainment, and a carefully curated music selection. Today, its coverage extends to much of the western part of the country, including Primorska, Ljubljana, Kranj, and Postojna, and it also offers one of the highest-quality audio broadcasts among Slovenian commercial radio stations.
