AEQ CONTINUES EXPANDING ITS FAMILY OF IP PRODUCTS FOR BROADCASTING AND PRESENTS NEW EQUIPMENT AT THE INTERNATIONAL BROADCAST CONVENTION
September 2013
Two decades after its first appearance at this tradeshow, AEQ confirms its commitment to the European broadcast market with its presence at what is, without any doubt, the reference tradeshow for the European broadcast professionals, with more than 50.000 visitors from 180 different countries.
Again, AEQ will be located in Hall 8 that is dedicated to the technologies for Radio Broadcasting and Audio. At the stand 8.C55, AEQ will be showing for the following novelties and technology updates for first time in Europe:
NEW AEQ SYSTEL-IP, a set of multi-line “On-Air” communications for Talk-show and Multi-conference call systems for Radio and TV stations. This system is based on VoIP technology and it significantly improves the audio quality and increases the flexibility and integration with already existing telephone systems at broadcast stations. The system comes in versions of 4 lines for up to two studios and 12 lines that service up to four studios.
NEW AEQ “AoIP” SYSTEM. Complete solution linking consoles and routers from AEQ and other manufacturers, sharing up to 512 audio channels over a Gigabit Ethernet network. Transports synchronized audio with inaudible latency. Modules of 32 input and 32 output channels have been developed for the digital mixing consoles FORUM, GRAN FORUM, and ARENA. Also a 16 channels I/O solution has been developed for the new Digital Mixing console CAPITOL IP. Further, an independent 32 audio channels AoIP interconnection interface for central controls and an 8 channel solution for existing analogue or digital studios has been made available by AEQ. These last two units receive the common name of NETBOX and provides IP connectivity for existing installations as well as a link in multiples of 32 channels when building new AoIP networks, including for example TITAN-BC matrices with capacities of up to 5120x5120 channels.
NEW RACKMOUNTED DOUBLE FULL DUPLEX AUDIOCODEC PHOENIX STRATOS. This audio codec is very versatile, ideal for transition scenarios IP+ISDN. Last year AEQ released the MERCURY and VENUS IP AudioCodecs and the control and management software ControlPHOENIX that is also compatible with the PHOENIX STUDIO. AEQ now completes the range with a double full duplex audio codec with the same features as the PHOENIX VENUS and that benefits from complementing the advantages of the IP link with one X21 / V35 and one ISDN interface. Of course the codec is readily delivered with automatic backup and is fully operational from a front panel.
NEW DIGITAL AUDIO MIXING CONSOLE - CAPITOL IP. Coinciding with the development of the "AoIP" products, AEQ has developed a new digital console for radio on-air broadcasting based on the already very popular CAPITOL console. Besides being network capable through MADI as the previous model, alternatively the CAPITOL IP and be IP networked through 16 input and output channels.
A new enhanced control surface has been developed with new keys for selection and routing functions, additional programmable softkeys, new arrangement of the encoders for the Monitoring and Control modules as well as an exclusive CUE reset key.
NEW DIGITAL ON-AIR AUDIO PROCESSOR SONATA. AEQ enters the market of broadcast audio processing with a high-end 4-band processor at a very reasonable price. The unit includes 20 factory presets to choose the signature sound of the station or the broadcast network with outstanding simplicity in tuning. It also comes with 20 memory banks for user configurations to be used for the most exclusive presets. It incorporates a clock for automatic preset change and internet remote control and configuration.
In addition to these developments, AEQ will be presenting:
The entire family of Audio mixers, both analogue and digital technology, the recently introduced AudioPLUS automation system (successful direct heir to Mar4Win), and of course, AEQs extensive range of solutions for broadcast and media communications such as its family of IP AudioCodecs like PHOENIX MERCURY, VENUS, STUDIO and MOBLE, the iPhone Apps AEQ Phoenix Pocket and Lite as well as the Phoenix PC, a PC software AudioCodec including the most common professional algorithms and protocols.
As usual, AEQ will deploy a remarkable team of technical and commercial professionals that will attend the visitors to the RAI Convention Centre in Amsterdam (September 13-17) and is pleased to invite its customers, distributors, partners –all friends- to attend the traditional Spanish “Ágape” at the IBC. This year the party will be held on Sunday, September 15th at 14:00 at the AEQ booth 8.C55.
