Castilla La Mancha TV upgrades its production center with AEQ Conexia intercom matrix 27/09/2023
The integration of the new system has provided CMM with increased performance and improved audio quality
Castilla La Mancha TV, public television channel of the Autonomous Community of Castilla La Mancha. Its wide variety of programmes makes it one of the most popular options, highlighting its informative content and focused on the residents of the community. The regional channel once again relies on AEQ technology to expand and renew its internal intercom system.
The installation of the new system with the CONEXIA matrix and more than 60 user panels and the Xplorer wireless system.
The replacement of the old KROMA 7000 system with the current CONEXIA system was motivated by its high capacity and by maintaining the same intercom platform, which simplifies operation and maintenance. In addition, it allows complete flexibility in the configuration of the system and the renewal of the complete system in stages, adapting to the needs of the channel.
«We wanted to highlight how grateful the change from the 7000 system to the Conexia system has been. The migration has been immediate without having to change all the components that make up the house Intercom», explains Jesús Sánchez Villalba, CMM technical director.
The installation has been upgraded with 59 analogue ports and 16 DANTE ports. This IP audio integration allows all studios to be easily connected.

In our case, not only because of the ease with which you can send the audio to any Studio, but also because the Conexia System serves as the Master Clock of our global DANTE network. As it is referenced to an external World Clock and is a system that is operational 24/7, we use it as a DANTE Master Clock for the rest of the equipment in our TV and Radio installations...» says José Manuel Vizcaíno Sáez, CMM Technical Manager.
This project includes the XPLORER wireless system. This solution, based on WiFi technology, allows them to work in association with an intercom matrix or as a Party-Line terminal with an autonomy of up to 20 hours at full performance. It is equipped with four direct access keys organised in pages, two other programmable keys and a multifunction display.
«The new system is more stable, with redundancy of all vital components and with a higher audio quality, not only in the new panels but also in the old ones, where the higher audio quality was already noticeable as soon as they were connected to the new system» confessed José Manuel Vizcaíno Sáez, CMM Technical Manager.
