FARO PRODUCER EQUIPS ITS NEW HD MOBILE UNIT WITH AEQ-KROMA TECHNOLOGY 25/07/2018

Faro is an important audio-video producer, which has been devoted to cinema and Television production in Galicia for more than 30 years. Based on Vigo, Faro has just presented a new HD mobile unit with 6 cameras, dedicated to the production of programs, events, external service and equipment rental, live broadcasting, post-production, etc. covering the most varied needs of their domestic customers, who are placing a strong bet on them thanks to their high professionalism.

In order to equip this new HD mobile production unit, the company’s Technical Management area has trusted on Spanish manufacturer AEQ, installing its cutting-edge Broadcast Video Monitoring technology and TH5048 Hybrid Intercom system from KROMA by AEQ,  and also using AEQ’s Phoenix Stratos IP-ISDN codecs and TH03 2-line Phone Hybrids for their communications. 

The impressive monitoring wall is equipped with 15 24” FULL-HD broadcast monitors and a large-format 46” Full HD monitor integrated with the KVIEW8 multi-screen system.

Also inside this mobile unit, an important amount of 21.5” and 18.5” Quadsplit broadcast monitors has been installed.

The advantage provided by the Quadsplit series is that it offers the possibility of monitoring many video and audio sources. It features 2 DVI-I (YPbPr, VGA and video-mode DVI) and 8 multi-format inputs (composite and SD-SDI). These 8 inputs can be transformed by menu into 4 multi-standard inputs plus 4 digital outputs. Besides, advanced tools are provided, such as waveform monitor and vector-scope, IMD, 1dB-precise Vumeters -for up to 16 channels (4 groups) for SDI and 2 channels for analog audio-, different display layouts, analog on-screen clock, speaker and headphone outputs, etc.

On the other hand, Faro has opted for the full-featured TH5048 intercom system, with 9 TP4016 panels together with external remote communications interfaces using standard phone lines and GSM. 

The installed matrix counts with 28 IP, 16 analog and 4 analog ports, enabling a total of 48 ports natively integrating different nature sources (analog, digital and Voice over IP), what offers great flexibility when managing different signals, such as audio from CCU’s, a great variety of user panels or wireless IP belt-packs. All is integrated into a single 1U rack unit. 

The transmission of an audio signal via IP and the ability of this system to communicate between different locations and centers via IP have been considered as added-value features of the system by this Producer. 

TP4018 user panels, with just 1U height, include 16 software-configurable cross-point keys and 4 page levels, what sums up to 64 configurable keys.
