RADIO MULEMBE KENYA incorporates AEQ FORUM IP SPLIT consoles supplied by JAMIRO BROADCAST

The station's technical department has chosen AEQ FORUM IP SPLIT console as the heart of its main studios

Mulembe FM is Luhya's leading radio station that targets the 17 sub-tribes of the Luhya community in Kenya and those interested in the Luhya lifestyle. Mulembe is a Luhya word that means peace, and the station's motto is "Omwoyo kwa Baluhya", which simply means Luhya's heartbeat.

width=Radio Mulembe broadcasts in the dialect understood by the 17 sub-tribes of the Luhya people, with presenters and transformative programs, clearly segmented to suit the needs of the audience, where numerous social, political and economic issues are covered that provide to listeners a platform to learn and share ideas that positively impact their lives. Radio Mulemebe broadcasts especially Luhya style music, but also Swahili, South African and Lingala music.

For the latest technological renovation of its main studio, Radio Mulembe Technical Department has selected the company Jamiro Broadcast, AEQ's local partner in Kenya, to execute the project where the new AEQ FORUM SPLIT digital console has been integrated as the heart of the system.

The new studio was set up in a new location to prevent any integration of the old system. Taking advantage of this change, Jamiro Broadcast recommended a 100% IP configuration that would allow the client to take advantage of the DANTE network from the Forum IP Split console to the transmitter.

AEQ FORUM IP SPLIT is a mixing console designed for ONAIR emission control. It incorporates all the basic characteristics necessary in this type of environment: automatic monitor cut-off, cough cut-off, fader-start, signalling control, control signals for the automation of external equipment, external communications management, intercom, etc.

With modular design and reduced size, AEQ FORUM IP SPLIT adapts perfectly to different scenarios: self-control, control-studio, television production controls, sound production, mixed configurations, integration in large installations, etc.

Phoenix VENUS 3 Audiocodec has facilitated the integration of the console with the transmitter via IP connectivity. This Audiocodec is specially designed to transport uncompressed audio from the studio. It has balanced analogue audio inputs and outputs at professional line level with XLR connector and AES/EBU digital audio inputs and outputs and optional AoIP connectivity with DANTE protocol.

Thanks to the IP configuration, Radio Mulembe can broadcast live remotely in high quality, allowing presenters and technicians to control and supervise the transmission from any location.
