TELEVISORA NACIONAL PANAMA SELECTS AEQ FORUM 08/05/2013
AEQ DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY EQUIPS TWO NEW STUDIOS IN TVN CENTRAL FACILITIES
National Television of Panama (Televisora Nacional of Panama or TVN) is a TV group that operates in the city of Panama. TVN broadcasts for the complete Panamanian territory and the south zone of Costa Rica. TVN offers news, sports and cultural programs, including the iconic “La Cascara” that has been in the Panamanian television for more than 15 years as the most successful humour program of the TV.
Panama media group Televisora Nacional has selected AEQ FORUM digital audio mixers to equip two new digital studios.
First studio has one AEQ FORUM digital audio mixer with standard 12 faders control surface, including 7 microphones inputs, 16 stereo inputs and 8 analogical outputs, and also 8 digital AES or SPDIF signals. AEQ FORUM can support up to two digital telephone hybrids built-in, but TVN has decided to purchase two external units of digital telephone hybrid AEQ TH03.1 model because van be used independently in others studios. These two TH03.1 units are controlled remotely using GPIOs from the programmable buttons section of the console control surface. Like important detail in this studio, AEQ has included in FORUM mixer one USB inputs/outputs module so TVN can now connect the mixer to the automation system workstation without any expensive extra audio board dedicated in the PC.
The second studio equipped with AEQ technology is named as transmission booth and has been designed over a digital audio mixer AEQ GRAND FORUM model with 20faders extended control surface, including 9 microphones inputs, 16 analogical lines and 4 digital AES. Again the communications part of the studio use AEQ digital telephone hybrids AEQ TH3.1 model controlled remotely from the console using GPIOs. Finally AEQ to simplify the final installation and to reduce wiring work, time and cost, prepared several complete cabling kits specifics for each AEQ FORUM unit.
Complete project has been coordinated by TVN Technical Manager Mr. Rolando Guerra, in collaboration with the central technical and sales services of AEQ in Madrid-Spain.
